Last Wednesday the novices visited Fisher House, the Catholic Chaplaincy to the University of Cambridge. They were greeted by Mgr Mark Langham, the chaplain, who offered them many insights into both the current work which Fisher House does and the Catholic history of Cambridge.
The chaplaincy has existed since 1895 and moved to its current location in 1922. Mass is celebrated here mainly for the benefit of all Catholic members of the University. The novices were shown around the house, which apart from the chapel, dedicated to St John Fisher, also has facilities which include a library and a function room (with bar area !)
