Home > News > Day for Consecrated Religious in Norwich

Norwich Presentation copy

On Tuesday 2 February the novices, with Fr Bruno, visited Norwich for a special Mass for the consecrated religious of the diocese. In his homily, Bishop Alan marked the end of the Year for Consecrated Life by encouraging everyone in the diocese to pray earnestly for vocations within the diocese. He went on to reflect on the nature of the religious life with a comparison to the candles we carried in procession for the feast of Candlemas. In the same way that the flame consumes a candle, the religious life consumes a person entirely, as they offer up their life, will, and future to God and the service of the Church.

After Mass the novices visited some places of interest in Norwich including the Anglican cathedral and the cell of Julian of Norwich.
